Denver, CO – 50 Vehicles Involved In Massive Crash Caused Injuries

A massive car crash involving 50 vehicles caused injuries.

The incident happened on Sixth Avenue Freeway, Thursday night.

The Denver Police Department said the incident was “weather-related”. Witnesses said the overpass had a thin layer of ice and had poor visibility.

Due to the crash, Westbound Sixth was closed off at Kalamath Street and Eastbound Sixth was shut down at Federal Boulevard.

There is no estimated time for when the highway will be reopened.

Details regarding the injuries were not available.

Aurora, CO – Pedestrian Died After Being Hit By Car

A pedestrian was died after being struck by a car.

The incident happened on Havana Street near East Colfax Avenue, Thursday afternoon.

A man was walking in the crosswalk when a driver turning left on Havana Street crashed into him.

The man was taken to a local hospital but died shortly after.

The intersection was closed off for around an hour as police investigated the crash.

Pueblo, CO – Driver Seriously Injured After Car Collision

A driver sustained severe injuries his car crashed.

The accident happened on I-25, early Wednesday morning.

35-year-old Matthew Baca was driving his Mustang recklessly around 8th Street. He then lost control of his vehicle and crashed it. The collision mangled the vehicle beyond recognition, and passers-by said that clothes from the car dangled on the trees. The crash also struck a few light poles.

Baca suffered severe injuries but he’s expected to survive.

However, he was charged with reckless driving, DUI, driving without insurance and driving without a license.

A person died after a tractor trailer and a pick-up truck crashed.

The incident happened on US-6, east of Swan Mountain Road at Landfill Road.

Summit Fire & EMS confirmed that the lone occupant of the truck was killed due to the incident.

The westbound lanes of US-6 were closed off in response to the crash.

Larimer County, CO – Woman Died After Her Car Crashed

A 36-year-old woman died after her car crashed into another vehicle.

The incident happened in Red Feather Lakes Road, around 7 am, November 21.

Her 57-year-old male passenger was sent to Poudre Valley Hospital to get treatment. It is unknown if the second vehicle’s 21-year-old male driver was taken to the same hospital.

Broomfield, CO – Two Drivers Hospitalized After Two Cars Crashed

Two drivers were sent to the hospital after their cars crashed into each other.

The crash happened near Indiana Street and CO-128, around 8 am, Thursday.

32-year-old Michelle Torres’s Kia and the 43-year-old male driver of a Ford Mustang crashed into each other.

Both of them were taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center to get treatment for their injuries.

The northbound lanes of Indiana Street were closed off temporarily, but they have been reopened since.

The cause of the crash are unclear.

Frisco, CO – One Dead After Pick-up Truck And Semitrailer Crashed Head-On

A pickup truck driver died after crashing head-on with a semitrailer.

The accident happened on US Highway 6, around 8:25 am, Thursday morning.

The driver of the semitrailer was not injured.

The semitrailer spilled unknown hazardous materials, so crews closed of the westbound lanes for several hours. They waited for a heavy tow truck to come and pull the semi out of the way so they can safely offload the materials.

Officials are investigating the crash further.

A multi-vehicle car accident injured 12 people.

The incident happened on I-25, Thursday evening.

According to South Metro Fire Rescue, one of the victims sustained severe injuries.
